Being positive is not “sugar coating” MS

I never want to be perceived to "sugar coat" multiple sclerosis. MS is a horrible disease that deeply affects many people and their loved ones. I’m not ignoring the negative aspects of this disease but to me, I'd rather try to find some silver lining. I'd rather focus on what I can do rather than what I can't. I'd rather channel my energy toward what this experience has given me rather than what it has taken away.

Adjusting to NOT thinking about medication

Switching to Ocrevus, a medication that is only administered twice a year, has thrown me completely off my game. For the first time in about 15 years, I don’t have to worry about taking medication daily or several times a week. Since 2003, I’ve been so conditioned to taking a disease-modifying therapy on a regular basis that I’ve felt like something has been missing lately in my fight against MS.
